♔ First Impressions
⚜ VISUAL: Joy is a slightly butch Asian twentysomething (closer to 30 than 20 though). She's 4'11" (150cm) and relatively average build for her height with fairly average strength to match.

⚜ FASHION: Somewhere between butch lesbian and Californian. Lots of plaid button ups over t-shirts, hoodies, jeans, that sort of thing! Mostly in dark colors like blue and green.

⚜ DEMEANOUR: By Asian standards, Joy's pretty rebellious, but for the most part she's quiet, pretty chill, and tries to keep to herself.

⚜ SOUND: Speaking | Singing
Joy has that sort of sarcastic flatness to her voice that a lot of Millenials do, but almost no Chinese accent unlike her immigrant parents. In fact, she has an almost aggressively "American" cadence, like she trained herself out of all the idiosyncracies she learned at home.

⚜ SCENT: Joy smells really strongly of fresh laundry with a lightly floral overtone. Is it perfume? Is it just the fact that she's lived in a laundromat for most of her life? Who knows!

⚜ BACKTAGGING: If I don't respond for like two days, just msg me on discord or whatever and lmk because I probably forgot.

⚜ FOURTHWALLING: I don't know why your character would be able to, but sure! It'll be very funny. On a funnier level please tell Joy her mom is Michelle Yeoh.

⚜ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: She might startle a little bit but if Joy's on good terms with a character, sure! She's fine with it. If she's not on good terms with them, she will just punch them though.

⚜ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: You can definitely fight her! But you should tell me first if you're going to, because it's. I have to tell you something about Joy beforehand.

⚜ RELATIONSHIPS: We're a vibes house. Joy's mostly a lesbian, but who knows what might happen! The multiverse is vast and we are but small specks in it.

♔ Permissions
⚜ MOM SHIT: Everything Everywhere All At Once is a movie about the complicated relationship between Joy and her mom. If you'd rather not hear about it in depth, please let me know and I will work the fuck around it.

⚜ RACISM: While not, like, a direct theme in the movie? It is very much about the tension inherent in being Asian-American and of two worlds, as it were. Because of that, specifically Asian-American racism will probably come up when Joy talks about herself and her backstory. I can avoid it though, just let me know!

⚜ NIHILISM/SUICIDE: This one is a huge theme in the movie. I will try to avoid it as much as possible if asked but Joy's character is very "nothing matters (including my own life)" so. Most of you have seen me play Connor, it's a similar vibe.
